GIVE TODAY

We need your help!

We are a small non-profit organisation providing prevention, education and support services to people who have been impacted by domestic violence.

Our programmes include support for both men and women (as victims and as perpetrators of family violence) as well as for children, couples and families/whanau.

We work in Waiheke Island – a small community of 8,000 people, a population which swells to over 40,000 during the summer months.

We need funding

Only a third of our operating costs are covered by government and we rely upon fundraising and donations to ensure that we are able to continue providing accessible, high-quality services to those in need.

We invite you to support our work by donating to us so that we can ensure that Waiheke becomes the safest little island in the world.

Our vision is to empower the community of Waiheke Island to choose safe and respectful ways of living and relating.

Please help support our vision

We work to eliminate interpersonal violence in all its forms by:

• Providing primary intervention and support to individuals and their families/whanau through services which are designed to support and empower all people to choose safe and respectful ways of living and relating;

• Undertaking community awareness and education activities which are designed to highlight the impacts of interpersonal violence on individuals, families/whanau and communities and, in so doing, positively influence change in individual and societal attitudes to interpersonal violence; and

• Advocating for just social and legal systems in order to enhance the ability of individuals, their families/whanau to live safely and respectfully.

Volunteers

Because of the confidential and specialised nature of our work, we can’t accommodate volunteers in our daily operations but we welcome support from people who can donate their time in helping us in other ways.

We always need helpers for events, setting up a stall, helping us organise our annual White Ribbon Day or lending a hand to refresh the office space with some wall washing and painting.

If you are interested in helping us, please get in touch and we will add you to our contact list. We’ll let you know when we need some help).

Equipment & Services Donations

The provision of in-kind donations (from good quality computer equipment, office furniture and office supplies to skilled services including handy-persons, electricians, plumbers, computer technicians, marketing and fundraising gurus) are incredibly valuable.

They assist us in directing more money towards front-line services (helping those most in need), while maintaining a safe and positive work environment for our staff.

If you are interested in helping in this way, please get in touch with us – Thank you.
